Questions & Answers
Are there Special Offers or Deals to be had out there?
Deals. First, consider the time of year. Depending on the time of year you will see a range of prices. As a general rule..off season, spring and early fall are the best time to charter for value.
Summer rates can be almost as cheap as the off-season, but expect the costs to be slightly higher.
Winter is the high season. Expect rates to be at least 20 - 25% higher than the off-season.
When checking each of the charter websites look for a tab listed as Deals or Special Offers. You will see what they offer discount wise, during specific times of the year. This also tells you how much of a discount you CAN ask for even if there isn't a "special" when you want to book. It is important to note that some "specials" are only for a specific hull type. You will commonly see specials for mid size Monohull, as Catamarans tend to book more frequently.
10 for 7, our favorite deal! Many charter companies keep their prices close in line with their competition. But.. some offer extra days for the same price. The most common are 10 nights for the price of 7. You may also see 7 for the price of 5, but the former is more common. Few companies charter for less than 5 days. This is the usual minimum booking. We will get more into the charter companies later.
